Chihiro Kinjo
Illustrator and artist

I was born in Okinawa, Japan and moved to England in 1992.

I studied illustration at Anglia Polytechnic University (Now, Ruskin University).
Art has been a central part of my life since I was an early teenager. Especially, artists like Henri Matisse, Paul Klee, Giorgio Morandi, Maurice Esteve etc.

I take inspirations from nature, my surroundings and traveling. I use photos and sketches to build up ideas. Colours are important to my paintings. I choose acrylic paints which gives luminous and smooth surfaces.
